ADF Rehabilitation Consultant

Our client is an innovative provider of Workplace Rehabilitation Services with an impressive national footprint. This organisation is the exclusive provider of rehabilitation services to the ADF & also has a growing Workplace Health division.
 
We are recruiting an ADF Rehabilitation Consultant at HMAS Stirling on Garden Island, WA. Interest from Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists, Registered Nurses, Osteopaths, Psychologists & Social Workers is welcome.
 
Based at the health centre on picturesque Garden Island, the base is a short drive across the causeway from Rockingham. This role would suit someone living within around 45 minutes of the base, such as Rockingham, Waikiki, Safety Bay, Baldivis, Kwinana, Mandurah, Cockburn or Fremantle. To set you up for success, you'll start off base to learn the role & build your caseload, then move on base around March/April 2027. 
 
The Job:

• On-base ADF role, working closely with ADF members who have sustained an injury
• Proactively manage your caseload - engage clients & liaise with stakeholders to facilitate a safe & timely return to full duties
• Varied caseload, with a mix of psychological & physical presentations
• Perform discipline-specific assessments, attend case conferences
• Gain a comprehensive understanding of the ADF including its structure, procedures & terminology to facilitate optimum outcomes for clients
• Make a valuable contribution in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team environment
• Consistent & structured role with limited travel
• Mon-Fri 7.30am-3.30pm, full-time, with one day per week working from home once established

The Perfect Candidate:

• Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Exercise Physiologist, Osteopath, Registered Nurse, Psychologist, Rehabilitation Counsellor or Social Worker
• Relevant professional body membership
• 1+ year Workplace Rehabilitation experience essential
• Interest in developing your skills in a specialist ADF Consultant role
• A bright, motivated approach
• Australian citizenship & willingness to complete security checks
• Driver's licence & car

We'd also love to hear from consultants interested in an off-base role in the area, where Workplace Rehabilitation experience is an advantage but not essential.
